SUMMARY:Chamber Lunch & Learn - Organizational Health
DESCRIPTION:The average Canadian will spend roughly 100\,000 hours at work over the course of their lifetime. With so much of our time spent working\, it's easy to see how your workplace can have a dramatic impact on your health and the health of your employees.\n\n\n\nWork can be stressful\, and stress over time can impact both our physical and mental health. While there is a large body of knowledge about how to protect workers' physical safety\, the psychological safety of workers is something most employers haven't considered.\n\n\n\nThe National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety exists to protect the mental health and wellbeing of employees. It provides a number of key factors employers can consider when evaluating the health of their workplace\, and outlines concrete action employers can take to make mental health at work a priority today.\n\n\n\n \n\nThis session will be facilitated by Jordan Friesen\, M.O.T.\, O.T. Reg. (MB) Executive Director of the Canadian Mental Health Association - Central Region
