2020 Roundtable Mentor Event - *Postponed*

The Business Development Committee of the Steinbach Chamber is pleased to offer our Roundtable Mentor Event for a sixth year!

This event is targeted towards our local entrepreneurs, managers and leaders who are interested in tapping into the wealth of local experience from seasoned business leaders from our community.  With the challenges presented in 2020, this event offers a great opportunity for you to network, engage and be inspired by other local experienced business owners. Hear how they have weathered the difficult times, and maximized the good times for growth. Social distancing protocols will be in place to protect all who attend.

GERALD BANMAN - HARVEST INSURANCE AGENCY LTD.

I am the owner of Harvest Insurance in partnership with Orville Giesbrecht.  Our firm specializes in vehicle insurance, drivers licensing, travel health coverage and other related products.  We have 10 countertop work stations where our dedicated, knowledgeable, staff step up to provide award winning service.  In addition, we specialize in a full line of insurance products including home/tenant/condo/cottage insurance as well as all categories of farm and commercial insurance.  Being locally owned and operated, we pride ourselves on direct and personalized customer service with an emphasis on coverage, price and hands-on claims settlement.  The key to our successful business - our customers best interests come first!
 
Together with my wife Teresa, we have made Steinbach our home for the past 36 years.  We enjoy our cabin get away at Lake of the Woods and we love to travel. 

I find the experience of meeting people interesting, rewarding and energizing. My years in business have amplified this for me.


EMMA LAFRENIERE - COLDWELL BANKER PREFERRED REAL ESTATE

Emma joined the team at Steinbach's Coldwell Banker Real Estate in June of 2019 and has experienced tremendous success as a new agent combining her financial experience, leadership, and passion for all aspects of real estate.

Previous to this Emma flourished as an engaged leader, focusing on core values while developing dynamic teams in her various roles at Steinbach Credit Union over her 18 year career. Her experience at SCU has equipped her with vast knowledge in areas of leadership, finance, mortgage lending, loss prevention and strategic business planning - just to name a few. Her ability to empower others on their journey to financial success is of great benefit to all her clients in real estate.

Emma and her two children reside on a 20 - acre farm between Steinbach and La Broquerie where they share their love of agriculture, community sports, camping and time with family and friends. Her passion for community is evident as a board member for Soups on Steinbach, the Business Development Committee on the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce, minor hockey, 4-H Canada, and previous Chair role of the Credit Union National Young Leaders Committee of Canada.

Emma is excited to share her passion and ability to build solid relationships with clients and all those she meets.

KENT LEDINGHAM - LEDINGHAM GM

Kent was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan and has resided in Steinbach since 2004. Having graduated with B.B.A. from Northwood University in Michigan and an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago, he went on to work at General Motors Corporation for eight years, working in Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Toronto. After a short stint back in Regina, Kent and his family moved to Steinbach and purchased the local GM Dealership.

Kent is a Past President of the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce and Past President of the Manitoba Motor Dealers Association. Kent currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Steinbach Pistons, Steinbach Community Outreach, and Bethesda Foundation.  He is also currently President of the Steinbach Fly-in Golf Club.  It is his belief that partnerships between civic leadership, community leadership, and business leadership are essential to a strong welcoming community that support each other.

Kent has been married to Caprice for over 25 years and has three sons.
