Manitoba's Economic Growth Strategy Roundtable

The Steinbach Chamber is pleased to invite you to an exclusive Economic Development Roundtable Event on Manitoba’s Economic Growth Strategy on Tuesday, June 19^th. 

This event is a concentrated, meaningful opportunity for our local business leaders to provide input on our province’s economic growth. 

In small groups, you will share your thoughts and insights into a variety of economic issues, including future goals of your business, barriers you face, government programs that would help, and what should economic development look like locally and provincially.  Facilitators at the event will collect your responses and provide this valuable feedback to the Provincial Government.

A Little Background…

On December 7, 2017, the Honourable Brian Pallister, Premier of Manitoba announced that the Manitoba government would craft a bold and modern approach to economic development that will address today's challenges and take advantage of tomorrow's opportunities. 

Dave Angus, former President and CEO of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, and Barb Gamey, entrepreneur and member of the Premier's Enterprise Team, are leading development of this economic growth strategy.  The foundation for this work is well underway - based on recommendations made in the Deloitte report titled Framework for Economic Alignment and Growth (pdf).

As a result, summits, roundtables and meetings with business, industry, stakeholder organizations, academic institutions, and Indigenous and newcomer organizations are being held throughout the province to gather input into the strategy.
