About the Speaker:

Arnaud Franco, an economist with over 15 years of experience serves as the Director of Economic Research at BDC (Canadian Development Bank) since January 2024. A seasoned public speaker, he has presented at conferences worldwide, covering a diverse range of topics.

At BDC, Arnaud leads a team of brilliant economists, provide real and actionable insights to Canadian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and ensuring that senior leaders stay informed about critical developments in the economic landscape. Additionally, Arnaud is a trusted voice in delivering economic insights to BDCs clients, keeping entrepreneurs in the mix of economic developments and how they can affect their business.

Before joining BDC, Arnaud spent 17 years as a partner at Numera Analytics, a Montreal-based boutique macro research outlet, where he specialized in commodities analysis, particularly focusing on forest products.

Arnaud’s background is multicultural; born in the US and raised in Senegal and Zimbabwe. His adaptability, open-mindedness, and informed perspective contribute to his success. He holds a Master of Sciences in International Economics and Industrial Organization from the University of Montreal, following his completion of a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Concordia University.
