Event Description:

We are excited to offer a 4-part series designed to connect, educate, and develop leaders of all ages in our business community. Through community involvement, peer dialogue, business training, and team networking, participating leaders will become more effective communicators in their circles.

Proposed Outcomes:

By participating in this program, leaders will develop:

  1. A professional network to lean on and grow with in their development.
  2. Enhanced leadership skills and abilities through personal and interpersonal awareness.
  3. Increased confidence to operate within a business environment.
  4. A deeper appreciation for the value of the Steinbach and Southeast Manitoba community.
Target Audience: Any one of any age with some leadership ability already recognized through work and peers is invited to attend.

Jody Milburn: Change the Way You Team!

Teams are the building blocks of any organization, and our working lives are becoming more team-oriented than ever before. Despite the pressing need for highly effective and productive teams, many individuals are either unaware or unable to consistently practice the behaviors that will ensure team success. In this session, learn how to cultivate the 5 Behaviors® that will change the way you team. 

Jody Milburn is an experienced Lead Consultant with a proven history of working in the professional training & coaching industry with honed skills in Business Planning, HR Consulting, Coaching, and Conflict Resolution. Currently the General Manager of Homefield People & Strategy, whose core purpose is to create happy, healthy & productive workplaces, Jody has worked tirelessly with top level executive teams to help build healthier businesses, organizations, and communities. With over 15 years of working with business owners, leaders & teams to drive that purpose forward, Jody earned her CPHR designation to support these organizations in their people strategies. Known for addressing challenging topics in relatable ways with a storytelling approach, and just the right amount of humour, Jody makes sure audiences leave her talks inspired and ready for action!


Wayne Patram: Negotiation for Leaders

In this session we will explore the art and skill of negotiation, why it is important for leaders, and how you can be prepared to do it effectively.

Wayne is the Vice President of Innovation for Barkman Concrete, a family-owned pre-cast concrete manufacturer celebrating 75 years in business. He has spent over a decade working in the field of innovation and product development. Wayne is also actively involved in the community and served on the Board of Directors for the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce from 2014 until 2023. Wayne and his wife, Lindsay, reside in Steinbach with their two sons.


Darrell Kehler: Productive Conflict – Turning Destructive Paths into Productive Stepping Stones

Darrell is an SC style leader, which means he thrives in collaborative settings and excels at empowering leaders and celebrating your successes WITH you. As an SC, Darrell blends care for people with getting things done right (empathy and objectivity). His steady approach makes him good at problem solving by seeing the big picture, building harmony, and working toward quality outcomes. This style means he approaches challenges in a composed and steady manner to seek the best outcomes for the group. He enjoys being a support to people and making them the hero. Darrell lives in Niverville, Manitoba with his wife, Elaine and their family. However, his work frequently takes him across the country and the world.

'Start With Why' is how you explain your purpose and the reason you exist and behave as you do. CEO of mode40 an international technology consulting company working with fortune 1000 organizations around the globe in refining manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and bolstering profitability, addressing the intricate challenges of the industry.
